How To Program Your Orbit 2 Outlet Hose Faucet Timer Instructions
Today we’ll show you how to program your two-outlet hose faucet timer. Orbit timers are well-known for their dependability and ease of programming and use. Turn the dial clockwise and follow these steps to program it:
You must first set the current time. Set the dial to o’clock. To select the current time of day, use the plus and minus buttons.
Keep pressing the buttons to scroll to the desired time more quickly. pay close attention to the morning and evening. Once the right time has been set, select the appropriate day of the week using the plus and minus buttons after using the arrow button to navigate to the days of the week on the LCD’s bottom.
Once the time and day of the week have been specified, spin the dial to the start time. Up to three start times can be entered for this timer. To utilize this timer, only one start time is necessary.
However, it can be helpful to add different start timings to your program so you can adjust watering according to your needs. For various watering requirements, you can add numerous start times to one or more stations or divide the stations into separate start times.
To choose the time you want the watering to start, use the plus and minus buttons. To scroll to the desired time more quickly, keep the button depressed. The timer must then be instructed as to which station you want to water at the specified start time. By default, both stations are used.
Both stations will run sequentially if you water them at the same time.
Press the station button to choose between the two stations and the minus button to remove a station from that start time if you want to switch to only one station. Press the arrow button to move from start time A to start time B or C if you want to add more than one start time.
Then, add the other start times using the plus and minus buttons and station buttons as previously. Once the watering start times are chosen, adjust the dial to how long. Enter the duration for each station’s watering on the timer depending on the start time you have chosen for that station, between one and 360 minutes.
To switch between stations 1 and 2, hit the station button.
To choose your watering duration, press the plus and minus buttons. Please be aware that your timer will water for a total of 30 minutes if you have three start times set for a station and a watering period of 10 minutes.
Once the watering intervals are established, adjust the dial to how frequently. Finally, you need to specify how frequently to water for each start time in the timer.
You can choose to water on particular days of the week, at intervals of every hour up to every 12 hours, or once per day up to every seventh day.
Toggle between start times A, B, and C using the arrow buttons, then input how often for a certain start time by pressing the + button. Use the arrow buttons to switch between the days of the week, and then press the + button next to each day you want the timer to water.
You’ll see a square encircling the days you’ve chosen. To remove a chosen day, switch to that day and click the minus sign. With interval watering, you can set the number of hours or days between waterings rather than watering on particular days of the week.
When the next watering time comes around, the timer will water.
If, for instance, it is Monday at noon and you have your timer set to water every four hours with a start time of five in the morning, your first watering will be at one in the afternoon today.
The first watering would occur tomorrow at 5 a.m., and the following watering would occur on Friday if you selected a three-day interval with a 5 a.m. start time. However, if you set a three-day interval with a 7 p.m. start time, your timer will water again at that time tomorrow and on Thursday.
Use the arrow button to switch to interval watering, and then the plus and minus buttons to choose the frequency of watering. Using the arrow button, cycle through the remaining days of the week on the LCD’s bottom to add a watering interval to the next start time.
The LCD will then return to the start timings at the top. For each start time, you entered, please mention how frequently. The timer will bypass a start time if you do not specify how frequently the start time. After stating your preferred watering frequency, set the dial to Auto. Congratulations, your timer has been set.
Only when the dial is set to auto will the watering you’ve scheduled run. When the dial is set to the auto position, the timer will blink the following watering time on the LCD. Turning the dial to off will halt all irrigation.
Your timer has the capacity to let you manually water without interfering with the pre-programmed schedule. In cases of high heat, this can be very helpful. You observe a dry place and decide to use your hose for a short period of time or provide a little additional water to your lawn or plants.
Simply push the manual button when the dial is set on auto to activate this feature.
For manual watering, you have two options: either water both stations for the predetermined amount of time, or choose a watering time between 1 and 360 minutes for either station.
Push the manual button to set the watering duration. Toggle to the station you wish to irrigate by pressing the station button and set the watering time with the + and minus buttons. Press the station button once more and enter a time for that station if you want both to water.
Press the manual button to water both stations for the predetermined amount of time.
If no choice is made within 5 seconds, the LCD will show the word “all,” and the timer will water both stations for the designated amount of time. Following the completion of watering, the timer will automatically continue the watering schedule you have set.
Press the Clear button at any moment to halt manual watering. You can specify a time limit for a rain delay that will prevent your timer from watering. If you’ve had a lot of rain or notice your plants are overly damp, this feature will be helpful.
Press the + button while the dial is set to auto to activate the rain delay feature.
Choose a delay time between one day and seven days. The timer will resume the planned program after the predetermined amount of time. Press the Clear button to manually end the rain delay. Your hose faucet timer will last longer if you do maintenance and winterization.
When freezing weather is predicted, timers should be taken out of the hose faucet and kept indoors where it is not likely to become cold in order to prevent freeze damage. The inlet filter prevents dirt from accessing the timer by trapping it.
Regularly clean the filter, and replace it if it becomes worn. Let your orbit hose faucet timer handle the watering while you sit back and unwind.
