Charging and Capacity of Batteries
This device is shipped with only a portion of its charge. Before using it for the first time, let it charge for 4-6 hours. Even when unused, lithium batteries will start to discharge after being created if kept at room temperature with a full charge. Their capacity is also reduced by deep discharges.
To avoid over-discharging, always charge at least every three to six months.
Battery transportation using lithium-ion
Before moving a unit containing a lithium-ion battery, be sure you are in compliance with all local, national, and international laws. In some circumstances, the transport of recalled, damaged, or end-of-life batteries may be particularly banned or outlawed.
It is risky to perform work close to a lead acid battery. When batteries are operating normally, explosive gases are produced. When batteries are operating normally, explosive gases are produced.
Because of this, it is crucial that you read this handbook and adhere to instructions before using the jump starter each time.
NEVER TRY TO CHARGE OR BOOST A FROZEN BATTERY.
Always make sure there is access to immediate aid in case of an accident or emergency when working with lead acid batteries. Never smoke near a car’s battery, engine, or jump starter, or allow a spark or flame to get close by.
When working with a lead acid battery, take off any metal jewelry you may be wearing, including rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches. A serious burn could be caused by a lead acid battery’s short circuit current, which is strong enough to weld a ring or other similar metal object to flesh.
Do not use the device if the cord or plug are broken, or if it has been dropped, hit hard, or has any other kind of damage. When the device is in operation, keep an eye on it.
All batteries experience self-discharge over time, which occurs more quickly in hotter environments. If not in use or when the power is insufficient, recharge the device every three to six months.
UNIT CHARGING/RECHARGING
Regular maintenance is necessary for lithium batteries to maintain a full charge and a long battery life. All batteries experience self-discharge over time, which happens more quickly in hotter environments.
Batteries should be recharged every 3-6 months in order to replace the energy lost through self-discharge. The device has overload and overcharges protection to avoid explosions and safeguard the battery.
You must fully charge this device after purchasing it and before using it for the first time because it is only partially charged when it is delivered.
Initial AC charging should last up to 4–6 hours, or until the unit indicates that it is fully charged (4 LEDs on the unit’s power indicator light solidly indicate blue and red colors, respectively).
Battery life will be extended if it is recharged after each use; it will be decreased if it is frequently heavily discharged before being recharged. Use the included AC charging adaptor to recharge the battery.
USING THE AC CHARGING ADAPTER (RECOMMENDED)
1. Connect the AC charging adapter’s barrel connection to the unit’s charging port.
2. Plug the AC outlet end into the wall socket.
3. To show that the device is charging, the LED power indicator lights on the device will roll.
Note: If the LED power indication does not turn on, make sure the AC power source is connected.
4. Continue charging the device until the LED power indicator turns solid from flashing (4 LEDs are solid blue and another 4 LEDs are solid red). The duration is 4-6 hours.
5. After the battery has fully charged, unplug the AC charging adapter from the power source and detach the barrel connector from the device.
WARNING: BEWARE OF THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE WHEN USING THE 12V DC CHARGER:
