Rice is too hard/dry after cooking

If the rice cooker has completed its task but the rice remains hard or chewy, add some water and continue to cook. Fill the pot halfway with water, mix the rice, cover the pot, and select WHITE RICE. If required, repeat the process.

I read one person who bought the Aroma rice cooker say that the rice cooker was a fantastic piece of appliance. It was very easy to use, looked attractive and created wonderful rice. She had used the rice cooker to prepare 2 cups of organic white basmati rice and started by rinsing the rice to remove any excess starch. Nothing clung to the pan, and there was no mush or burnt rice on the base.

Aside from a small quantity that went into the plastic portion at the back supposed to catch it, there was no liquid flowing out. She wondered if people who mentioned water pouring out went overboard. It worked just as it was meant to in her opinion.

Another person said that he purchased the Aroma rice cooker during the holiday season and had been using it for the past six months without any issues and cooked the rice properly.

After 6 months it broke down. It started acting weird. For example, when he chose the white rice cook option, the rice will be hard and sitting in water after 10 minutes of cooking.

When he tried to steam something for any length of time, it would steam for one minute and then switches to the keep warm setting as if it was done. He wondered whether it was possible that he received a faulty rice cooker.

But, since it’s protected by a two-year warranty,  he thought he would be OK for another two years. He called the firm regarding the warranty, and realized getting it serviced would cost me more than buying a new one.
