Craftsman RER 1000 Warranty

All non-expendable components of this riding equipment are assured against manufacturing flaws for TWO YEARS from the date of purchase.

A faulty non-expendable part will receive free repair or replacement at the seller’s discretion with evidence of purchase. The battery (an expendable part) of this riding equipment is assured against material or workmanship flaws for 90 days after the date of purchase.

You can get a replacement battery for free if you can provide evidence of purchase. The cost of labor for installing the battery is your responsibility.

After the second year from the date of purchase, you are liable for the labor costs associated with installing the part under the following supplementary guarantees.

The frame of this riding equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing or material flaws for FIVE YEARS after the date of purchase. You will get a new frame for free if you can provide evidence of purchase.

The front axle of this riding equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing or material flaws for TEN YEARS after the date of purchase. You will be given a new axle without charge if you can provide evidence of purchase.

Warranty Restrictions

If this riding equipment is ever used to provide commercial services or if it is rented to another individual, all warranty protection is null and invalid.

ONLY material and workmanship faults are covered by this warranty. The following items are NOT covered by the warranty:

• Consumable parts (except from the battery) that could break down due to normal use during the guarantee term, such as but not limited to blades, spark plugs, belts, and air, oil, or gas filters.
• Routine maintenance procedures, such as tune-ups or oil changes.
• Tire replacement or repair needed after being punctured by foreign items like glass, thorns, nails, or stumps.
• The replacement or repair of a tire or a wheel due to normal wear, an accident, or incorrect use or maintenance.
• Repairs required as a result of operator abuse, such as damage from towing objects that are too heavy for the riding equipment, hitting objects that bend the frame, axle assembly, or crankshaft, or engine overspeeding.
• Repairs required as a result of operator negligence, such as, but not limited to, electrical and mechanical damage from improper storage, using the incorrect grade and quantity of engine oil, failing to keep the deck clear of combustible debris, or failing to maintain the riding equipment in accordance with the operator’s manual.
• Cleaning or repairs to the engine’s fuel system brought on by dirty or oxidized gasoline (stale). Fuel should typically be utilized within 30 days of purchase.

• Keep bystanders, volunteers, children, and pets at least 75 feet away from the machine while it is in use to help prevent blade contact or an injury from a thrown object. If somebody enters the area, stop the machine.
• Examine the region where the item will be utilized in great detail. Remove all toys, stones, sticks, wire, bones, and other foreign things that the blade could pick up and fling (s). Thrown objects have the potential to seriously harm people.
• Arrange your mowing procedure to prevent the discharge of debris toward sidewalks, roadways, onlookers, and the like. A wall or other impediment should not be discharged against since this could cause the debris to ricochet back at the operator.
• To safeguard your eyes, wear safety glasses or safety goggles at all times when operating, making adjustments, or performing repairs. Objects that are thrown and ricochet can seriously harm the eyes.

Keep in mind where the mower and attachments will discharge, and never point them at people. Never use the mower unless the entire grass collector or discharge cover is in the correct location.

Never place your hands or feet underneath the cutting deck or near whirling components. Hands and feet may become amputated upon contact with the blade(s).

Injury from object or blade contact might result from a discharge cover that is absent or broken. When crossing gravel drives, pathways, or roads or when not mowing the grass, stop the blade(s).

When operating near or crossing roads, be aware of traffic. This device should not be used on any public roads.

• When inebriated or under the influence of narcotics, do not use the equipment.
• Only mow in bright natural or artificial light.
• Never transport people.
• Before putting the car in reverse, disengage the blade(s). Retract slowly. To prevent a back-over mishap, always look below and behind before and while backing up.
• Before turning, go more slowly. Smoothly operate the equipment. Avoid operating at unpredictable or high speeds.
• Before removing the grass catcher, emptying the grass, clearing the chute, removing any grass or debris, or making any changes, disengage the blade(s), set the parking brake, turn off the motor, and wait until the blade(s) come to a complete stop.

Children

If the driver is not aware of the presence of youngsters, tragic incidents may happen. Children frequently become fascinated by the machine and the act of mowing. They are unaware of the risks. Never take it for granted that kids will stay where you last saw them.

Children should be kept out of the area being mowed and under the supervision of a responsible adult other than the operator. If a child wanders into the area, be aware and switch the machine off.

Look behind and down for young children before and during reversing. Never transport kids while the blade(s) are off. They could drop off and cause severe injuries or get in the way of safe machine operation.

When approaching blind corners, entrances, bushes, trees, or other obstacles that might obscure your view of a child who might accidentally run into the machine, proceed with extreme caution.

Always disconnect the cutting blade(s) before going into reverse to prevent back-over collisions. If available, the “Reverse Caution Mode”—which operates the blades while the machine travels in reverse—should not be utilized in the presence of kids or other people.

Keep kids away from engines that are hot or running. A hot muffler might cause burns to them. When leaving the machine unattended, remove the key to prevent illegal use.

Craftsman RER 1000 Service

Handle gasoline with utmost caution to prevent damage to your property or personal injury. Gasoline has explosive fumes and is very flammable.

Having gasoline spilt on you or your clothing might result in serious physical injury since it can catch fire. Change into clean clothes right away. Use only a fuel container that has been approved.

Never use a plastic liner to fill containers on a truck or trailer bed, inside a car, or anywhere else. Before filling, always set the containers on the ground far from your car.

If at all possible, take gas-powered equipment out of the truck or trailer and refuel it on the ground. Refuel such equipment on a trailer using a portable container rather than a gasoline delivery nozzle if this is not possible.

Till the fuelling is finished, keep the nozzle in constant contact with the rim of the gasoline tank or container opening. Use of nozzle lock-open tools is not advised.

• Put out all cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and other ignition sources.
• Never refuel a vehicle inside.
• Never add fuel or remove the gas cap while the engine is hot or running. Before refueling, give the engine at least two minutes to cool.
• Avoid overfilling the fuel tank. To provide room for gasoline expansion, fill the tank no higher than 12 inch below the bottom of the filler neck.
• Replace the gas cap and firmly tighten.
• Clean up any fuel spills by wiping the equipment and engine down. Change the location of the machine. Before starting the engine, wait five minutes.

A water heater, space heater, furnace, clothes dryer, or other gas appliance should never have the machine or fuel container stored inside where there is an open flame, spark, or pilot light. Wait at least five minutes before storing a machine.
