With no auxiliary heat options, this thermostat works with heating, cooling, and heat pumps.

What are some of its features?

With its straightforward programming, you can schedule up to 4 periods every day for the full week. For continuous comfort, it offers you a precise temperature adjustment of +/-1 degrees Fahrenheit.

It features a 12 or 24-hour clock and an easy-to-read digital display with temperature readings in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. It works with heat pumps without an additional heater and with heating and cooling systems.

Honeywell RTH22B Thermostat Manual

This manual covers two different models: RTH2300 & RTH221. The manual provides you with different set of instructions that cover issues such as:- Thermostat features, programming and operations and issues related to warranty.

Your thermostat is already set up and prepared to use. Setting the time and day is all that is required.

Your system can be easily programmed to save the most energy possible. Four time periods per day can be programmed, with separate settings for weekdays and weekends. You can set the temperature and timer to the moment you get up and stay there till you leave for the day.

You can also set to the time you go from home and the desired temperature while you are gone (usually an energy-saving level).

Set the temperature to what you prefer in the evening until bedtime and the time you arrive home. Lastly you can set the time and temperature for when you plan to go to bed (usually an energy-saving level).

This thermostat has been programmed to use energy-saving program settings. They advise using these settings since they can cut your heating and cooling costs by up to 33 percent.

Your air conditioning or heat pump system’s compressor is protected by the built-in compressor security feature, which aids in avoiding damage. If the compressor is resumed too soon after shutdown, damage may result.

The compressor must wait five minutes before resuming due to this function. The message Cool On will show on the display while you wait (or Heat On if you have a heat pump).

The notification stops blinking and the compressor starts on when the safe wait period has passed.

Low Battery Warning

When “Lo Batt” lights on the screen, put in two brand-new AAA batteries. Prior to the batteries running out, “Lo Batt” warning can be seen for 60 days.

When you will be gone for more than a month or once a year, replace the batteries. Most settings are kept in permanent (non-volatile) memory. You only need to set the clock and the day after changing the batteries.
