  • Place the cooking pot in the unit’s base.
  • Place the steaming tray in the cooking pot, open side down.
  • Cover the cooking saucepan with the cover.

  • Place the stainless steel housing over the cooking pot.
  • Using the measuring cup provided, measure the desired amount of raw rice. If necessary, rinse the rice.

  • To add water or stock to your cooking, use one of the methods listed below.
    a. Measure the proper amount of water in a regular liquid measuring cup using the rice measuring cup. See the “Cooking Rice Chart” for more information.
    a. Fill the cooking pot with water up to the proper water line, using the water line within the pot. If you used 2 cups of raw rice, for example, fill line 2 with water (white rice only).
  • Place a lid on the cooking saucepan. Make sure the steam vent is pointing backwards in the unit.
  • Attach the unit to the wall.
  • Press the switch all the way down to the cook position. The LED light labeled “Cook” will turn on.
